I didn't think that I'd be updating this journal so soon, but what do ya know, I have!

Here's what I’ll be talking about:
1) My weekend of fun which included watching two movies on the big screen: New Moon (no, I'm not a fan of Twilight, but I went with my sister and Paula anyway) and 2012;
2) In relation to point 1, some movies I want to check out;
3) A new list of all the things I am planning on doing - both short term and long term - for my projects, including both of my fanfictions. Some things have been started on, whilst others are still just little ideas floating around in my head.

So, first off, I spent the weekend with my sister again which originally was just to pick up a cord for our very old Nintendo 64 that had been in my sister's possession for a while as I was using my PS2 more often. However I decided to stay with her the entire weekend there and had a hell of a good time, hehehe! Well its inevitable, because you never have a bad time at Chonny's
Whilst I was there I became a member of IMVU and had some very good fun on there being a complete douchebag, which I’m sure probably weirded out a few of the people on there… CHTTCHTTCHTT! But also me and my sister played around with her partner’s acoustic guitar and neither of us no shit as to how to play one so it was freaking hilarious!
So there was that, but also her and Paula wanted to see New Moon. Though I'm definitely NOT a Twilight fan, I decided to go with them as I knew I'd have a good time regardless whether I liked Twilight or not. And here is where some spoilers come in, so for those who haven't yet seen it nor read the books, I advise you don't read further.

SPOILER WARNING!

Here’s my thoughts on it:
First off…slow motion! It can be done well…or done terribly. But when they applied the effect to Edward when he was approaching Bella in the car park at the school, it was so bad that there were even people other than me who were laughing at it! And considering most of the cinema was full of teeny-bopper, horny girls (and mums), I was quite surprised! I think mixed with Robert Pattinson’s bad acting they just didn’t pull it off very well at all. And, also, I think someone went a bit overboard with the makeup on him because he was less attractive in New Moon than Twilight.
There was again lots of VERY CORNY lines, story revolving the pretty vampires, and plenty of melodrama, so I was pretty bored with it and snickering under my breath. Buuuut, then the story brought Jacob in, the dashing Native American friend of Bella’s, and I'm not sure if it had been in the books or not but he was very buff in this movie, which I thought, "Oh, of course, you've got to feed those horny teens some man meat don’t ya?", but actually, as soon as Edward left Bella, who turned into a terribly depressing little thing (over a man? Come on!!), and she started hanging out with Jacob, the story, surprisingly, became interesting!

Well of course it would wouldn't it? We weren't focusing on the main two characters as for this series the 'minor' characters seem to be more characteristic (and thus interesting) than Bella, and Edward, and their 'romantic' *cough puke* relationship. And so when the story involved a 'minor' character, I actually liked it! Jacob was nice to her, they actually DID THINGS together, and we were given an interesting storyline about the werewolves!
Now, its not as if all the vampires aren't interesting. Personally I like Alice Cullen as she's got this very bouncy, fun character about her. I also like Victoria, the vampire after Bella, she had a very dark and dangerous appeal about her persona, and I think she’s a lot more attractive than most of the other female vampires (I mean, that red hair is to DIE for! No pun intended ), and there was a dark-skinned vampire too whose name I can't remember, but I thought he was very cool as well.

Yet, as soon as Edward was back in the picture it became corny and melodramatic again. Siiiigh.

So I think New Moon had more for me to enjoy from it than the first one, Twilight, because it wasn't all about Bella and Edward!

Now, moving on, I had also seen a second movie, this time with Paula and Luke, and it was 2012, obviously ABOUT 2012. Assuming that you've heard something of the Mayan prophecy, whether because of the movie or read about it beforehand, I think it is definitely something to think about. I could get deep with this and rant for a page and a half, but I can’t because I don’t have enough detail to give. However here’s what I will say.
If you look at the 'global warming' we're getting now, and if you look back on what we sort of know of the history of this planet, it is quite possible that its true BECAUSE, what if this is what wiped out the dinosaurs? What’s been the reason of other dramatic climatic changes that has happened to the earth before? It could explain why the continents had once been joined together but are now separated. Of course, who knows if the actual date is correct (the possibility of misinterpretation of their calendar to ours), however if you look at the EFFECTS that it has, its very plausible and certainly connects some dots, don't you think? That’s only part of it...if I was better at relaying information I’d tell you what Paula told me. But, don’t you think it makes sense?

Okay, this is where I get deep and meaningful on you guys. If the date is correct, then it’s a pretty f*ing scary thing, and so perhaps it’s time to consider what – and who – is important in your life. If our earth is going to undergo this major change in just a few years from now that could possibly wipe out humanity (but I think the movie hints to a lot of what they are planning to do…and if you think about it, why do you reckon they were looking for water on the moon? Why are they looking for other planets like earth besides just being curious?), then one must really spend some time for themselves, with the people they love, and let them know you love them! Don’t have regrets, be true to yourself, who you really are, what you really think. Because who knows how long we have. Heck, even if there wasn’t the threat of the end of the world, it would still be a good idea to sit down and think about this sort of stuff. Life has so many uncertainties, even though we think we are certain, we don’t REALLY know do we? The only thing in life that is certain, is death and taxes.
So maybe its time to get in touch with that long-lost friend to reconnect with them, say sorry to someone, tell someone you love them and emphasise with all your might just how much they really mean to you, treat yourself to something nice and enjoy it to the fullest, that sort of thing, because you never know what’s going to happen, and 2012 could be our expiry date.

From seeing those two movies I also got to see some shorts for other movies, some of which are currently in cinema and others that are still to come, and here’s what I want to see:
- Avatar. This looks like such a beautiful, action-filled movie! I heard it’s based off a game actually (could someone clarify this for me?), which if it is I’d love to check out (if I have the right console...either PS2 or Nintendo 64, lol!), but oh my god, the COLOURS! I love the look of the people, its VERY fantasy, but has such a different feel about it to anything else I have so far seen, so I’m really inspired to go see this.
- The Box. I thought this one looked somewhat interesting, so its on my “To watch” list, and even if I don’t see it at the movies I’m sure I’ll watch it when it comes out on DVD.
- Salt with Angelia Jolie also caught my eye, I might look into that.
- Case 39, not 100 per cent sure about, but I’ll still look into it.
- Sherlock Holmes. OMG! This looks very fun, action-packed AND funny! I sure want to see this one.
- And can’t forget, TOY STORY 3! When that comes into cinemas I’m going to see it, brings back such sentimental memories!

So, those are all the movies I want to see. What do you guys want to see? Anything I’ve mentioned, or something completely different?


Alright, finally on to point three, which for some would be the main reason why you’re reading this journal. Where I’m at with all my projects
As there’s so many different things I’ve got planned in all my creative interests, it can be rather difficult knowing where to start. And perhaps this is why my skills are now developing at a much slower rate, because I’m not just focusing on one thing, I’m spreading myself out over all different creative mediums!
But despite this, I got lots of different things I want to get done, and if the world is ending in 2012 I better hurry up, hahaha! Oh man, I’ll be 21 that year...I’ll have to make sure that birthday is the best birthday of my life!!!!
So here is –hopefully- a complete list of things I want to currently get done either in the short term or long term, and listed by point-of-interest (writing, photography etc). Since there is the possiblity of me forgetting some things I have planned, I will probably update this list at a later date so check back on it


Drawings

Harry Potter fanart for Liss of the Masquerade Ball - still have old uncompleted version. I will most likely redraw the entire thing. I plan to have drawings as well as the writing for something different.

HP fanart for Liss of Sitara and James’ first kiss – not started, but looking for some references as I suck at drawing actual scenes.

HP fanart for Liss of James wearing a rainbow mullet wig and Hawaiian shirt - not started, but soooo want to get it drawn up soon!

Storm Hawks fanart for Thea of her Squadron The Bleeding Hearts – about 80 per cent complete, but am still redrawing some characters so the image is updated with my better drawing skills. However I might even redraw this, depends.

Storm Hawks fanart of the Total Losers in a diner - started, but plenty left to do with it including drawing the background, adding some stuff in the foreground and then shading it all.

Storm Hawks fanart profile sheet for Ensayne - a recent thought that I had, so not 100 per cent when that'll be made.

This list is uncompleted. Will be mended at a later date.


Photography

Trolley series - not started.

Flower series - when I'm at a more professional level. I have some really good ideas for this one but I'll need a really good camera, not just a digital, to capture the photos well enough. So this is definitely a long term one.


Filming

Pirates of the Caribbean MV - a quarter of this is done, will be finished at a later date.

Vampire MV - have to collect more resources for this one, but it has been started.

I have three Storm Hawks MVs in the making. One that is Finn orientated, one for Stork and also one that revolves around the Raptors with Stork and Starling starring in it too.

Music video to the song "Love Shack" by the B52's - yet to be started, but I have most of it figured out.


Fanfictions

"The Elements" Harry Potter fanfiction - I have been discussing a lot if not all ideas with Liss, ~The-Lady-Vader for this one, as well as my other wonderful mate Thea, ~MeatyMaggots, but the Prologue is really the thing that is keeping me from starting it as I am still developing this part of the fanfiction, however I will be giving it another shot as soon as TAFE is over...hopefully!

My Storm Hawks fanfiction has seen a bit more luck! I am currently working on the first Episode/Chapter of the fanfiction so you may see something come out of that soon. However here is where I need your opinion, for those who are Storm Hawks fans. I am stuck on a name for this fanfiction! Its terrible! I want to name it with the first part of the title saying "Storm Hawks" but then the second part I am not sure of. And certainly not "Storm Hawks Reloaded", lol! So if anyone has any thoughts of what I could add to the second half of the title, please give me your thoughts in a comment on this journal. I will love you forever! And here is how:
